Pacific View Cottage is an ocean view guest cottage in a separate building from the main house, above the garage. The cottage has its own entrance, large windows to take in the ocean and neighborhood views, own sea view balcony, own heating/cooling and no shared walls with the main house.
From the garden, it is 15 stairs up to your private cottage getaway. You can take in the coastal views to the west and the south from your dining table, your balcony or the king sized bed. Your balcony has a bar height table and chairs for you to enjoy sunny afternoons, your morning coffee or a glass of wine.
Pacific View Cottage Studio is approximately 385sf + the sea view Balcony.
The cottage has a microwave, mini frig, toaster, electric tea kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. You'll be stocked with Nespresso coffee, teas, waters, a few starter snacks, wine glasses, cutting boards, plates, mugs, and more. The cottage is ideal for low prep meals like yogurt and granola, instant oats, bagels, cheese and fruit or for pre-prepared meals like salads and wraps you can store in the mini frig.
*Please note that Pacific View Cottage does NOT have a full kitchen nor washer/dryer.
*We do have a cat on the property and while our 12yo rescue cat, Harry, does NOT enter Pacific View Cottage, we live with a cat and do not recommend this property for those who have cat allergies or cat sensitivities.
*The driveway is steep (see photos), but not long, and then there are 15 steps up to the cottage door. If you or your guest have mobility or balance challenges, please consider whether the driveway & stairs will feel manageable and safe for you.

We do live on the property full time, in the main house. When we are out of town, we leave guests in the apt care of our property assistant, who lives nearby.
What type of hosts are you?
We prepare the cottage with guest comfort, relaxation, privacy and an exceptional guest experience in mind. We are here if you need anything, and we will leave you to enjoy your stay in complete privacy unless you reach out.
How many nights can you book for?
Most guests find 3-7 nights to be perfect to enjoy the cottage, Fiscalini Preserve trails, Cambria shops, local restaurants and a few day trips into Big Sur, Paso Robles or Morro Bay.
Do you have reliable wifi and cellular coverage?
Guests have a dedicated high speed wifi just for the Pacific View Cottage. Regarding cellular coverage, Verizon is very reliable on the property. 2 guests have noted that AT+T mobile coverage was not reliable at our property. Please consult your cellular coverage plans to be sure coverage is what you need it to be.
Do you accept longer stays?
Yes. We welcome longer stays. Since we do not have a full kitchen nor a washer and dryer in the cottage, we do encourage guests to be sure they are okay with utilizing local laundromats during their stay. A weekly clean of the cottage, as well as fresh towels and sheets, is included in longer stays.
Community:
For us, part of being in community includes sharing resources and collaboration. At Pacific View Cottage, we regularly support local food pantries, LandBack projects in San Luis Obispo County and the Friends of Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.
House Rules:
Shut gates each time you enter and exit property.
If you lose a key, there is a charge of $175 to cover rekeying the guest cottage.
No unapproved guests. No third party bookings.
No smoking, no pets and no parties.
We live on a quiet street with full time resident neighbors. This is a fantastic spot for a quiet coastal retreat and NOT the spot for a rowdy stay nor parties. $1500 minimum additional fee will be charged for smoking, parties, pets or unapproved guests. We take care to be good neighbors + to be fire-safe. We need our guests to do the same. :)
You have full access to the Pacific View Cottage, its southwest facing balcony as well as 1 parking spot. The main house, the upper deck of the main house and the garage are areas you will NOT have access to, as that is the host's home.
Hosts cannot accept mail or packages on guest's behalf.
In case of emergency, please call 9-1-1.
