Locations and price were good, but was let down by the really bad animal smell that hit us as soon as we walked into the room.
The animal smell inside the property, was very unpleasant. But other that that a nice place. Just bought some air fresheners and a candle.

The apartment is nice with a few flaws of which I have informed the owner; I feel these minor flaws will be addressed. The location of this place is superb. There is a wonderful cafe a few doors down and the high street is just beyond the cafe. There are plenty of restaurants and shops. The beach is walkably close along with the other seashore attractions of Southend. The owner is very communicative. I wouldn't call the place luxurious, merely functional.

Attentive hosts resolved entry issue promptly.
Keys were not in lock box as expected, took several phone calls to resolve. Place was very dirty, floor greasy, plates and cutlery quite dirty. No washing up cloth or sponge to clean everything. Shower door broken and doesn't close properly. Multiple chairs dangerously broken. Could have done with some drinking or wine glasses. Batteries missing from TV remote. Bedroom TV not connected to WiFi. Views outside very poor with rubbish and rats.
