Really liked the shepherd's hut, it was very well equipped and clean and tidy. As it was unseasonably cold in the evening the electric fire was a great asset and got us warm quickly. Complimentary biscuits and a small bottle of wine were a nice touch. The location is great, we enjoyed a walk along the Ouse valley way, and the pub next door was handy for our evening meal - close enough to get to but far away enough to not disturb us. We only had a stopover this time but it would be great for a longer stay another time, there's loads to see and do in the area.
It's a bit tricky backing into the parking space through the gates.
