Bright Spacious Room in Central London Victoria, Prime Location

Spacious and light room. Was a perfect location, super central for sightseeing and close to public transport stations

Location is 5 minutes from a London terminus but it feels villagey. In the morning, we watched people cruise by on pushbikes, and dads take their kids to school. The room was quite large, once through the narrow access spaces. We didn't watch tv but, once sat on the sofa by the window, it felt like a relaxing space. It grew on us. Communication with our host was good - informal (WhatsApp) but prompt and always helpful. The kitchen and bathroom were clean (as was the room).

The access through the front door, up the stairs, and into the flat itself (one of two) were tatty and narrow. I used to live in London - I know space is tight, but maybe some more durable decoration to stand up to daily suitcases? I mentioned the makeshift electrical layout in the room to our host and he offered assurances that it could be reviewed. But, we had plugs where needed. There were all manner of heater appliances littered around the table area. Not necessary! The kitchenette and bathroom (only one, for three double rooms - don't get caught out in the morning!) were clean but fittings were tired. Don't expect hotel standard - more like a student flat. But, way cleaner. :-)

De accommodatie ligt erg centraal; je kunt gemakkelijk te voet of met de metro het centrum bereiken. De kamers zijn schoon en de eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat het verblijf in eerste instantie prettig maakt. Al met al een fijne locatie en een vriendelijk ontvangst, maar er zijn verbeterpunten op het gebied van faciliteiten en onderhoud.

Er zijn echter ook een paar minpunten. Er is maar één badkamer met wc voor drie kamers, wat soms onhandig is. Daarnaast had de verwarmingsketel twee ochtenden een storing. We moesten zelf proberen dit op te lossen omdat de eigenaar niet direct beschikbaar was, wat niet ideaal was tijdens het verblijf.
