Yurt in Devon

It had a very magical and cosy feel. Although we were close to the house it felt like we were in a different world!! There were lots of useful accessories too like the hammock and the picnic bench. It also felt very clean. We also loved the friendly chickens!!

There was nothing we disliked.

Warm, cosy, and snug yurt set in a peaceful, quiet location. Hosts were extremely polite, friendly, and accommodating, like they can't do enough for you to make sure your stay is perfect. The yurt is beautifully decorated and has plenty of outdoor seating and even a hammock to relax in. Lighting inside and out is warm and inviting with a cosy ambience. Not really a place for gadgets, so leave them at home, as this is a place to relax in, although there are USB charging points and sockets. Good selection of teas. Cups, plates, and cutlery are available. Host had even provided some local apples (although I did sample any). Open glazed roof light was a lovely touch, especially whilst lying back looking up at the stars whilst listening to the owls. Hosts are available if you need them, but don't pester you and leave you to get on. However, chatting to them they are extremely friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area and places to visit. There is also an information welcome folder in the yurt too, with local places to eat, drink, and get shopping. Toilet and wash area is clean and tidy, although the lack of a shower may put some off (They are potentially looking to install a shower at a later date) but if you're happy with a strip wash in the wc/wash area then it's ideal. Heating in the yurt is available and can be adjusted to suit your needs, but it soon warms up, making it very cosy and warm. Will definitely be visiting again

For me personally, there wasn't anything I didn't like. However, some may find the lack of a shower may be an issue. But as the host states this in their description, then it shouldn't be an issue. There is a WC/wash area with running water for a strip down wash.
