Wonderful 2 night stay. Eclectic, victorian charm in a comfortable double room with a pretty view of the garden and hills. 10 minutes walk into Kendal centre. Thank you.

Helen was an incredible host. She made me and my son feel like family. The house is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was lovely, and being able to eat in the big dining room felt very special. We cannot wait to make a return visit. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house. We had an enjoyable stay. It’s like a cross between staying in a museum/art gallery/library. Host very welcoming and whole house open to her guests and 5 cats. Bathroom and bedroom clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable if you like soft mattresses.
You need to look beyond the dusty and cobwebby appearance. If you can’t and you don’t like cats then this isn’t for you.

It was in a great location with only a 5 minute walk from the town. The host was pleasant and very welcoming.
The room and bathroom itself was fairly clean but had poor cleanliness throughout the rest of the property. The host was not around in the morning when we vacated.
