The room was very large with a high comfortable bed. The house is full of books which suited me as I read one I had not read before. There was no cooked breakfast but there was a good selection of cereals and pastries, also fruit. Local milk. It was not far to walk to the town proper. Car parking was adequate.
The bathroom was along the corridor and not en suite which might bother some people. There was a TV downstairs but I'm not sure if guests were supposed to watch it.

Wonderful 2 night stay. Eclectic, victorian charm in a comfortable double room with a pretty view of the garden and hills. 10 minutes walk into Kendal centre. Thank you.

Good location, I could leave my car and walk into town within 10 mins. Lovely views.
No internet access for the duration of my stay. Very dirty in places inside, particularly the carpet throughout. Large dark stains in my room and a bit smelly.
