I liked the views and the peace and I did have a place to park but I was the only one that was there. The camping barn from the outside looks idlic. So much potential. Felt like camping which was good. But silly things let it down.
The kitchen was not clean no heating. The microwave & kettle defo need upgrades. Very basic . I used the kitchen for boiling water for my hot water bottles. Go to Keswick for food there is a decent W- spoons there. Also no security anyone could of walked in when I was sleeping but thats also the same for camping in a tent. Not sure how clean the bedding was but I had my sleeping bag and pillow. Log fire did not heat the room but it was nice to have it burning a few hrs. An extra £ 7 if you run out of logs. Toilet is in same are as the sleeping area so im glad I was alone lol. I met a lady who lived down the track. No idea if she was staff or owner or nothing to do with it as she never introduced herself but she did let me know were I couldn't park . If you like the outdoors and want to feel like your in a tent made of stone then this is for you. I did not mind the experience for one night . But in the bitter cold 2 nights would of been to much. Summer I guess would be a better experience. I would say in winter £20 would be acceptable rate £27 prob not. Clean the kitchen update microwave, kettle . Then prob £27 .
