Embankment 2-Bed Flat with AC near Charing Cross, Trafalgar Square, London Eye, Big Ben

The location is amazing. You can walk to so many wonderful theaters, museums, tube stations and sites. The dryer worked well when you figure out you have to empty the water tank or else the machine leaks. The apt was very clean. The water pressure is ridiculously good. Lots of hot water when needed. There are plenty of stores, shops, pubs, activities and pubs closeby. You are right above a Pret a Manger so you can get coffee there in the morning.

There are 84 stairs to this flat, which is fine if you are very athletic. There is a LOT of partying going on outside of the window, most nights until 3:00 AM. The kitchen chairs are pretty beat up. There is no mirror in the main bedroom. The only outlet in the bathroom is for shavers only, so you have to dry your hair in the main bedroom without a mirror. The industrial windows did block out a lot of the noise and they leave a huge bag of ear plugs in the flat to help with the noise. I used a white noise app on my phone and was just fine. When we first arrived at the property at the exact time we were supposed to get the keys, there was no answer when we buzzed the flat. We went back ten mins later and a very nice housekeeper, let us in and handed us the keys. At first it was kind of a pain to stand on a very busy street with all of our luggage with no where to go. The couch is not very comfortable to sit on. There is no coffee table. There was a coffee machine but we didn't understand how to use it or where to get the kind of pods that it used. We went to the nearby store with a picture and they had no such pods.

Very central location, lovely comfortable beds, clean, had all our requirements for a short stay including tea and coffee. The communication with our host made everything run smoothly. Someone met us at the property for check in and for a small charge we were able to drop our bags off early. Despite being so central, close to tube and over a weekend it was surprisingly quiet.

Everything was very good the only thing I would say is that the flat is on the top floor with no lift and while it was fine for us it would not suit anyone with mobility issues but I think this is noted by host.

Location was super convenient and i a great spot with Bars etc and just a few steps away from the Underground.

Top Floor Apartment no lift, so not suitable if you have mobility issues.
