Glasgow Home Newly Refurbished

Really modern and large place. Had a lot of essentials available. Comfortable beds and great to have a washing machine. Good bus connections and govan centre nearby is nice.

This apartment will not stay so nice for so long. The renovation was poorly done and the effort shows. Everything is made out of the absolute cheapest materials. Some small parts are unfinished and there is paint splatters over all of the flooring.

It's close to Braehead shopping centre and has a small convenience store around the corner. There are tea and coffee sachets for guests. Clean bedding and towels. Bathrooms are clean.

When describing a property as "newly refurbished", one is left with a positive image, this is not the case. The workmanship is of a very poor standard and materials used are cheap. Upon entering the apartment some teenagers were running around swearing, shouting and banging on doors however I was unable to unlock the door to get into the apartment. The company responded 29min later at 17:31 with a general message saying it was out of work hours and gave an emergency number which I later discovered no one responds to. For future guests: pull the key out the lock ever so slightly. There was no remote for the TV in the Livingroom and this issue was not solved during my 2 night stay. There was a dirty pan containing a pool of water in the cupboards, food debris under the sofa and a sock from the previous guest under a bed. On my second night I could hear a banging noise coming from the apartment which sounded like someone trying to get in through a door. It sounded like it might be the door in the cupboard beneath the stairs which I had noticed earlier. There was a small slip lock on the outside of the cupboard door which I had thankfully locked, however when I went to shower, the bath panel had been pushed away from the bath (due to poor workmanship it was not secured). Under the bath was a big square of flooring missing. I could see a light on in the room below and could only assume that whoever was there, had pushed the bath panel away from the bath. This apartment is not part of an apartment block, it's part of a building which I thought was empty. As a female on her own, I felt extremely unsafe. Morning could not come quick enough. After washing my breakfast cup and bowl I noticed a leak in the pipes under the sink which I quickly reported to the management company. Upon leaving I checked the door that leads into the cupboard, to my relief it had a lock but I now understood why there was a slip lock on the outside of the cupboard.
