The whole home was so warm and cozy. It was an excellent location, the host even came out to greet us, in the rain to help with our luggage. It was a delightful and charming place to stay in Kyoto. We really appreciated the free amenities as well.

It was modern, clean and the lady who checked us in was very friendly and we could communicate easily.
There is another Mulan Stay in Kyoto. It might be easier and less confusing if you add an English description to one and other. One could be Mulan Stay Ukyo and other Mulan Stay Nishikyo. Otherwise it was fantastic

The property is clean and tidy and the home owner was super responsive and helpful. One of its significant advantages is how kid friendly it is, the living room has a large collection of toys and Japanese kids books which our kids absolutely loved and were invaluable in our ability to get some rest during our stay
The location of the property has its benefits and drawbacks, on the positive side it is only a few minutes walk from a train station and bus stop that can take you to Arashiama (5-10 min) and Kyoto station (30 min). A key drawback for us was the proximity to the train line which despite being exciting for the kids (train spotting from the living room!) was also a bit noisy at times
