Enjoy an open-concept space with a kitchenette, dedicated workspace, full-sized washer and dryer, tv with streaming services, and wall-unit AC/heating. Free, ample street parking is available. Located in the quiet Hillcrest neighborhood with easy access to Capitol Hill and downtown. The unit is on the lower level of a home with a private entrance. A cozy stay awaits in one of DC’s most historic communities.
This private lower-level studio is part of a two-unit home, but your space is fully self-contained with no interior access between units. You’ll enter through a private side entrance and walk down 14 steps to reach the unit.
Inside, the open-concept layout is clean, comfortable, and designed to make the most of the space. The sleeping area features a cozy bed and a smart TV, making it easy to relax after a day in the city. You’ll also have a dedicated workspace, ideal for remote work, planning your day, or settling in for a longer stay.
Kitchenette
The studio includes a compact but well-equipped kitchenette that’s perfect for light meals and everyday convenience. You’ll have access to a microwave, mini-fridge, hot plate, toaster, coffee maker, basic cookware, and dishes. While there is no full dining table, tray tables are provided for easy meals at home.
Laundry & Comfort
For added convenience, the unit includes a full-sized washer and dryer right inside the space. A wall-mounted heating and air conditioning unit allows you to adjust the temperature to your comfort throughout the year.
Parking
Free, ample street parking is available right outside the property, a major bonus in Washington, DC, and especially convenient for guests traveling with a car.

Clean, beautiful large TV, kitchenette with everything needed for a pleasant stay.

The room was perfect size for 2 people. It was homey feeling and did not have to pay for parking. It was 20ish minutes from everything we wanted to do.
The bed was still wet when we got there and reeked of bleach. It seeped through one of my shirts and destroyed it. We had to sleep on the couch the first night.
The owner still had laundry down stairs and said he would come in later to get it after we checked in. We waited till he got it to do anything. The door to their house is only lockable from inside their area which made it feel a little weird that they could just come in whenever.
Because it’s a basement, you can hear everything. Someone was getting ready for work and we woke up to the loud foot steps and at one point they had friends over and it was very loud.
The booklet said not to unplug any cameras and when we asked the guy about cameras he said he was unsure.
