This place was exactly what we wanted for a long-term stay in New Orleans. We loved that it was in a historic neighborhood that is thriving and reborn after Hurricane Katrina. The house has been fully renovated, yet still maintains its original architectural elements. The property is a "Shotgun House," which took a day or so to orient to, but then grew to enjoy. We were happy to find modern HVAC to keep us comfortable! The bed and bedding were very nice. We used the full kitchen and laundry, which was so nice as we did not need to eat out for every meal or find a laundromat. We came to New Orleans for the music, which did not disappoint, but we found a community. During our stay, we made acquaintances with neighbors and felt comfortable walking, riding our bikes, and using public transportation. Last but not least, the host was available whenever we had questions and was so helpful. We feel like we made a good friend there!
There was nothing about the property that we didn't like. The only exception would be that it may not be for someone who isn't comfortable with a bit of walking to the bus stop, or a few stairs to get in and out of the house.
