The code was provided and keys easy to obtain via the lock box on arrival. The property is perfectly located and lovely throughout, definitely worth staying for the location. However; a couple of things need correcting before we would consider it again…..

Only one key provided which was worrying if misplaced. There was no Welcome pack, nothing explaining the WiFi etc or general help. I’ve never stayed in a property without this, basic info is a must. The TV in the lounge area was not working, it was stuck on one channel (ITV2+1), if you like Love Island you’re in luck! 🤦🏻‍♀️ luckily we were out and about every day but if we hadn’t had the good weather we would have needed the TV for entertainment. The owner’s contact did visit to install a NOW TV box but this didn’t rectify the issue. The hot water packed up on day 2 of our stay, with 8 of us as guests and small children, we struggled. Again the contact said an engineer would be coming out while we were away for the day but it was still luke warm when we returned. If we were staying during colder weather this would’ve been a big issue. The top floor twin room shower lifting device was broken so the shower wouldn’t heighten. The basin in that room wouldn’t drain either. The hot tub lid missing - very dangerous when staying with little ones and nothing to stop birds and bugs invading it - this was reported on booking.com over 2 months ago reading reviews, but had not been sorted. The kitchen although well equipped needs more mugs etc and serving plates - have to wash up after every use if 8 people staying. Only 6 breakfast bowls - not enough for 8 guests. No plastic cups for small children. The chopping knives either need sharpening or replacing. Need more baking trays etc. Oven & grill works but take ages to cook anything. No hand soap in bathrooms and toilets. Would have brought some if it was made clear it wouldn’t be provided on essential information. We paid £850 for 4 nights, not cheap. If these things were corrected it would be fantastic, but it needs attention and better guest consideration.

Loved the house, the size rooms, the living space. Great location in a lovely resort Clean bathrooms, lovely large kitchen, very homely!

Unfortunately the hot tub lid was broken, I knew this from a review weeks before but it hadn't been fixed in that time and so we were informed to leave it off and they would come in each day to clean it. On day 1 it still had gravel in the bottom and didn't look clean, from then on it wasn't cleaned. Each day it would fill with rainwater so it spilled over when you got in, there were bugs in it and no net to get them out and bird poo was able to enter, little to say I didn't go in! They back yard was also surrounded by weeds, undervthe garden dining table there were remnants of food, the grass hadn't been cut and the fence was broken. Such a shame as this could be an A+ property. So many beginning of season jobs hadn't been done, broken stair gates, door edgings. Cigarette butt's on the balcony floors from the previous family were also not cleaned away! Lack of serving bowls in the kitchen. Also, when we arrived we did expect a welcome folder, usually a norm in a holiday rental so we had no wifi and no instructions for the appliances and not even a map. When I called the owners and messaged them it took nearly a day before we got a reply. This happened a couple of times and was probably the worst part of the stay. Waiting on replys to simple questions. We booked this house for the location, the hot tub and with 5 young adults a reliable wifi connection and we were let down by 2 of the 3. Please look after this house and I promise you that you will fill it all year through and maybe change your call vetting automated service too!
