The food in the restaurant and lounge was suprisingly good. The in-room instant coffee was excellent - I didn't think instant coffee could taste anything but mid.
The hotel provides brewed coffee every morning between 7-9am and there are a lovely stack of tea cups and saucers at the end of hall. Alas, the actual coffee was awful - far worse than the worst instant coffee I've ever had. Equally surprising was the instant coffee mix that was provided in-suite was EXCELLENT.

Every detail was practically perfect, every need anticipated! The breakfast was great except for the bacon which was very thin and underdone the first morning. The croissants and cinnamon rolls (probably made especially for Christmas day) were to die for. It would be nice to have a little change instead of the exact same menu every day but we didn't get to stay for breakfast the 3rd morning...

Beautifully renovated old inn, with great attention to detail in my room, and elsewhere. Loved the 1st class products and decor, dimmers on all lights were a nice touch. Quiet, coffee service in the mornings on each floor, and fabulous breakfast. I would stay here again!
