The place was in a good location and distance from the beach and centre. It was accessible to a supermarket which was in walking distance. Susana was welcoming and explained everything well on arrival which was very nice and supportive. She gave me recommendations to find certain locations and made me feel at home.

There was nothing to dislike

The property was spacious and clean. It was great enjoying a wine or dinner on the balcony looking out at the sea. We had almost everything we needed so that we could feel at home. Just loved the place. Susana was such a nice, helpful host going out of her way to help. She left us a bottle of wine and some delicious Madeiran cookies to welcome us. Much appreciated! There were some good, non-touristy restaurants around. We liked As Patinhas, Viana, Kirita and Sunrise Asian Fusion. Didn’t have time to try more. The place is great if you have a car. We didn’t but buses got us into town. There’s a parking lot in a private garage.

It’s located at the edge of Sao Martinho before Camara da Lobo and takes a while to get into Funchal. However, this meant that there were less tourists around and we enjoyed the peace.
