Fitzrovia Apartments

The location was excellent, great communications around booking and how to check in and get the key. Great size apartment, with lovely big sash windows. Powerful desk fans to help draw air through as there is no air conditioning.

Some basic and simple things that could easily be fixed, mean this was a good apartment rather than a brilliant apartment.

We were notified on the day of travel of a leak at this property and were offered an alternative on Harrow Road, or a full refund. As we were on the way to the airport, we selected the former, a two bedroom executive apartment in a slightly more peripheral location. Therefore, my review is not really for Fitzrovia apartments, but rather for another apartment organised by the same provider. We did appreciate the air conditioning and also allowing us to have a late check out when requested.

We easily accessed the property on Harrow Road , to arrive in a one bedroom apartment - the booking was for five. After an attempt at calling both numbers given had failed, a text was answered. They would check it out. Eventually a second apartment was given in addition to the first. Although we had expected our group to be in the same apartment, we were satisfied with this. The second apartment was brighter and more airy. We appreciate that this was an emergency alternative but I would suggest that the apartments be better inspected before presentation to customers in future. In the first apartment there was a half used drink can sitting behind the window blinds, and in the second, a cigarette end. Also, the front door of the building could be pushed open. As the internal doors were coded, we were only slightly bothered by this, and generally just relieved to have somewhere to stay. I feel that this may be a recently acquired property, still being refurbished. There is certainly potential for these apartments to be of a very good standard, when properly completed. The interior of the apartments had almost achieved this, however issues such as many missing lightbulbs should be looked at. Also the reception area simply had a heap of unpacked boxes, and there was nobody in attendance. Generally, we felt that the friendly communication we had before arrival, did not really continue beyond that. Considering how we had been inconvenienced, we would have expected a more personal effort in ensuring that we were properly accommodated.
