2 BDR - Apartment Saphire, right near Schönbrunn Palace

Newly refurbished ground floor apartment in a residential block. One small sized double bedroom - just enough room for the bed but nothing else. Very small toilet and hand basin. Larger family bathroom with spacious walk-in shower (also contained a washing machine should you need one). Lounge/diner and second bedroom all open plan. Plenty of storage, duvets and pillows. Small kitchen with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, kettle and iron with a grill but no toaster. Handy location for trams and close to metro station.

I would have preferred to have been given the code for main entry key pad and apartment door key box a bit sooner as I was getting a bit concerned that I wouldn't get the information before I switched off data roaming on my mobile. Host didn't mention there was a light switch in the hallway when coming through the main entrance for when returning at night and that would have been handy to know upon arrival. No number on the apartment door (should be No 5). No automatic light by the apartment door so remember to leave kitchen light on to help when using the key at night. Drain is leaking by the apartment door which creates a puddle of water so a light would be handy to avoid it.

Besides the smoking smells too strong especially in the small toilet, others are fine for a short stays. 3mins to the bus station and supermarket by walking. Around 15-20mins to most of the tourist sites by bus.

The property was just a 10mins away from central with the U3 which is frequent. Apartment is equipped. Beds are comfortable. Modernized Tiny Apartment sleeps 6 but it will get crammed with so many as it’s super tiny.

The linen did not smell fresh, there was no air freshener in the apartment and a strong cigarette smell unpleasantly present in the smaller toilet, entrance and the tiny bedroom which barely could close its door, it had no AC and we couldn’t even open the window for air due to smell. The apartment has a filthy common shaft which apparently neighbors throw cigarette buds in. The entrance to apartment isn’t luxurious at all, plenty of rubbish just across its door. We also found ants on us in the morning when we woke up on our bed and in the entrance area where we left our outdoor shoes. The carpet in the living rooms is very slippery. Not the luxurious experience the listing promotes but if you prioritise location, budget and friends staying together then it’s a pleasant stay but no more.
