Woodpecker Cottage is a cottage consisting of a kitchen with a ceramic electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, and toaster, a dining area with seating for two guests, and a sitting area with TV and electric fire. The bedroom is king-size with an en-suite bathroom. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a courtyard with furniture, access to a fenced-off section of paddock, and off-road parking for one car. One well-behaved dog is welcome with prior arrangement. Sorry, no smoking. Within 1.2 miles you will find a shop and within 1.4 miles a pub. Your stay at Woodpecker Cottage is sure to be a memorable one. Note: Check-in is after 4 pm & check-out is by 10 am. Note: Only one dog is allowed with prior arrangement. Note: Please ensure that dogs are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. Town: The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’. Offa’s Dyke Path passes nearby and boasts pleasant walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills, plus the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, is 5 miles away, and Snowdonia is less than an hour’s drive.
