The apartment was even more stunning than it looks in the pictures. The way the building had been creatively split into two meant we had an exquisite staircase and two levels which was a wonderful surprise. The owner was friendly, warm and attentive to queries. Cockermouth is a few minutes walk away over the Derwent and is a beautiful, tiny town with a castle and a thriving high street with lots of pubs, a butchers, bakers, pet shop, galleries, an antique shop or two. No death of the high street here. This part of the Lake District is much less commercial and tourist driven which is what we were after. We almost felt like we had the fells and meres to ourselves. We will definately return. Thank you.

Truely nothing. This gem needs more than 5 stars. I couldn't get over the value for money (please don't put the price up!).

Great location, very clean, modern and spacious

The apartment is relatively new on the rental market and is fresh, bright and clean. Self catering with everything you need to make yourself at home. Ample parking in a private car park and only a few minutes walk into town. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor with the kitchen and living room upstairs which offers a pleasant view of the hills and Cockermouth Castle. We’d recommend Schill’s and Fika as places to eat at night. The owners also showed us the smaller ground floor apartment which looked to be equally well appointed.
