The bedrooms consist of a king-size bedroom, a single bedroom, and a second-floor twin bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. There is also a family bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a ground-floor cloakroom with storage. Gas central heating with gas fire. TV and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
