The Chapel - Telford

The property was exactly like the photos shown on the website. It was clean , very well presented, well equipped and spacious. Very quiet too.

The view of the car yard outside the windows from the kitchen and living area( which I had read on a review beforehand, didn’t expect it to look that rough). Door handles very stiff to open doors when thy are fully closed, the living room door especially ( thought at one point we couldn’t open it). Lights in the kitchen didn’t work, reported it , it was very dark around the kitchen table to eat. The wall socket in one of the bedrooms was not secured safely on the wall. Apart from the above few things, that can be put right , overall it was a wonderful stay.

For us it was a good location as a half way point. Within a short walk to local takeaway. The property is a lovely old chapel which has been renovated well. Plenty of space for the five of us. It was nice that each room has its own en-suite. The property was well heated making for a warm stay. Good comms with the property manager.

There were a few points that are more feedback than negative. The front door looks like it’s been forced at some point and is in need of repair including removing the sharp bits of wood. The door to the main lounge is incredibly difficult to open as is the door in the en-suite of the main bedroom. The main lights in the kitchen do not work. We found the sofa although big enough for us was not very comfortable to sit on due to the hard cushions. On arrival we couldn’t find the remote for the tv, we did eventually under one of the cushions. I would suggest that because it’s aimed at potentially larger parties that the kitchen is better equipped, for example there are no large serving dishes and unfortunately no bottle opener. The view from the kitchen windows overlooks a car garage repair business, we were not there during the day so I can’t comment on how loud it would get. And I guess in the summer when it’s warmer you might want the windows to be open.

the property was unclean, cobwebs behind doors etc, all crockery and glassware was dirty and marked, we had to clean before use. Kitchen needs more equipment and items. Table should be able to seat 8 as advertised, not the 6 it can. Property needs larger adult sized bath towels Multiple lights didn't work or had no bulb fitted throughout the property front bedroom bath side broken and paint peeling Futon bed in lounge is not a double to the property is not set up for 8 as advertised. we arranged a workaround with the cleaner, but require a refund for it not being set up for 8
