We liked the location

We use booking.com a lot, and sadly, this is the first booking that has not met our expectations. As a family of 10 adults plus 2 children, we were disappointed that the main living spaces could not accommodate us all together. It felt like an apartment for 6, despite the number of bedrooms. The entrance to the building housing the apartment sets a poor first impression (due to use as an internal bin storage area, with associated odour), and the large number of stairs is not clear on the summary information. Some general maintenance is required, with carpets very stained, carpet treads loose and light bulb in one bedroom and tap in one bathroom not working. It is also not clear that one of the bedrooms is divided from the main living space by an internal double glass door, which impacts on sleeping arrangements in a large family group where bedtimes vary. We did get great help from the property when we requested help to operate the central heating, which was greatly appreciated, and while we could have similarly reported some of the other matters noted, these felt like issues that should and could have been picked up easily prior to our stay.
