Unbeatable Location The Heart of NYC 1 BDR W GYM

I wanted to leave a super detailed review since this is a newer listing, so read at your own leisure. Overall, this place was pretty good, and the pictures are true to nature. It’s small (about 600 sq ft), but everything in NYC is small unless you’re paying big bucks, so that was expected. The windows look out onto other apartment buildings. The communal kitchen is located in the basement of the building, but we were fine using the mini fridge and microwave in the room. There are some noticeable signs of wear and tear, but the place is clean and mostly well put together. The hosts communicate well and provide very detailed instructions. The only instructions that were a bit confusing were for the radiator—ours looked different and seemed to be missing a knob. We tried adjusting it a few times because the room was very cold, but I’m not sure it made a difference. Thankfully, the small portable heater in the closet was phenomenal and truly saved the day. Pros: Amazing location, great WiFi, comfy beds, very efficient host communication, fairly quiet street for being in central NYC, close to subway stations, elevators are present.

The apartment’s biggest strength is its location. I was willing to overlook several small issues because of how centrally located it is. However, the one thing we couldn’t overlook was the water heater. While I appreciate that the hosts contacted building maintenance multiple times, we didn’t have truly hot water until the last day of our stay. From what I gathered, because the building is older, you may only get warm water during times when others aren’t showering. That said, the host was very accommodating and genuinely tried to resolve the issue. Cons: Water heater issues, room would have been very cold without the portable heater, no kitchen in the room.

It was the perfect location

Location, beds and overall ambiance of the room. Its very close to grand central that makes the life very easy. There are restaurants nearby and a good cozy lobby. It has a community kitchen too.

1. The room windows have leakage so the cold wind keep coming in the room and as the temperature drops you never know how to control the room temp 2. Room temp control is of old style and not digital hence we keep waking up in the night due to hot / cold situation within the room. 3. The common toilet doe snot have a lock so if you are staying with family its not comfortable. I would expect owner to get this done quite easily. 4. There is a declaration that the Room has kitchen which is not true. There is a common community kitchen where everyone can cook and eat. We are pure veg family and it was tough for us to use the kitchen. You should consider changing the description of the property accordingly
