It was clean and comfortable. There were a few marks on the walls and the back of the toilet seat needed cleaning but apart from that the place was well cleaned. The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi worked which helped the kids. It had everything it needed to have.
The area. It was Saturday evening so we expected some noise. It sounded like a live band practice or karaoke until 11.30pm but it did stop and then there was silence. It was a quiet industrial area so we felt vulnerable as there seemed to be no one around and my husband was worried about his van. Everything was just so in the morning and it all seemed quite safe but it didn't look that way in first impression. There was a funny smell in the stairwell and there seemed to be a slight smell in the bathroom, but the building looks very old so it could just been an old sewerage system. Its also definitely not walking distance to the city centre if that's what you are looking for. Its a good 15 minute drive or there may be buses but we wouldn't have known where they where.
