Finsters Retreat

Exceptionally well presented and equipped holiday home. Very spacious. Kitchen had pretty much everything you may need - and plenty of crockery, cutlery, cups and glasses. Abundant towels, including robes and extra towels for use of the hot tub. Spares of everything - kitchen towel, toilet roll, dish scourers, hand wash etc Our grandsons (10 & 12) loved the games room and we also hired the bouncy castle for the week. Great to have it there to occupy the odd 10 or 20 minutes. The bus stop just outside the property an added bonus and an easy way to get into Southport centre (some go to Preston). Get it the other way for Liverpool. Owners Howard and Debbie very responsive to queries/requests. Ainsdale Beach 5 min drive. Toilet block well maintained. Snack bars. (££ parking on beach but Pay&Display cheaper 2 min walk) Ainsdale village 20 min walk. Some nice bars/restaurants. Esperantos Bistro lovely italian food with friendly staff.

It was a perfect spot for us, location was great.

I didn’t realise that the only bathroom was situated in the main bedroom. My son and his girl friend had to walk through our room to get to the bathroom.

Had everything we needed, games room is a really good touch. Even if staying with kids they can go to bed and the adults could stay up in the games room. Hot tub actually stayed hot, even when we had left the lid off 🫣

Nothing not to spike

It was all superb. Clean, spacious and the little extras were a treat. The games room is fantastic although we didn’t get to use it too much as it was 30+ degrees when we stayed.

The only thing I would say is if you’re staying with friends the bathroom and toilet are in one of the bedrooms so you have to go into that bedroom to get to it. It didn’t bother us as we were a family.
