Very enjoyable could be better with a few additions

Location was very good being just 4 mins drive from centre of Southport and just 6 miles from the excellent beach at Formby (dog friendly). Beds were comfy and property was spacious and quiet even though Birkdale rail station was at the end of the road. Dog friendly fully enclosed garden although a little small.

The two settees in the lounge area were very low down and not as comfortable as we would have liked as we both suffer from arthritis and back problems. . We did mention to John that a few more cleaning implements would have been welcome eg sweeping brush, A welcome pack would have been appreciated, but didn't affect us too much as we had shopped before getting to the property, perhaps an updated version of things to do could be included in the information pack. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Spring Close.

Good location. Very quiet area. Garden was good for our dogs.

Purely personal choice and did not spoil our holiday but a TV in the bedroom would be good. Also bedside table in the main bedroom would be beneficial.

A very enjoyable stay in a good property and can recommend it to others

Very well equipped, clean & tidy property. The house is comfortable and warm and in a lovely area. The host had left us a lovely welcome pack. The location was perfect for us. We really appreciated the host's local knowledge both in person and the information left in the property. Easy to get into Liverpool using the train.

A warm and comfortable home, which was welcome given that the weather had turned cold! Excellent location and quiet, despite being very close to the railway line. John, the host was very welcoming and informative. It really felt like we were in a home and not holiday accommodation. Convenient for both Southport town centre and especially Birkdale Village, where you can find the excellent Birkdale Cheese Co amongst other shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Also a station there with good connections to Liverpool.

Sadly, some of the kitchenware (cutlery, utensils etc) weren't overly clean, which I feel is more the fault of previous guest(s). Fortunately, there is a dishwasher, which soon resolved this problem.

A comfortable, and spacious house equipped with everything you needed.

Very thoughtful host in leaving essentials for breakfast and treats for our dog.

The check in time was not until 5pm, and the check out time was 10am. I would have preferred a 3pm check in and and 11pm check out time. This would have made things more relaxed.

The fact that we would return speaks for its-self.

Lovely property in a nice quite cul-de-sac, with a nice rear garden and off street parking for car. As we had a young child we were provided with a high chair and a stair gate which was very much appreciated. The bedrooms are all a good size with comfortable beds and good bed linen and towels. The bathroom is excellent with a large shower and bath with good water pressure from a gas boiler, there is also a downstairs toilet. Well equipped kitchen and large lounge /diner. The location was great for us, but it is also very close to a train station and shops within a very short walk. A joy to have stayed and would use again.

The check-in and check-out times didn't really suit us, however we did contact the owner by text for a slightly earlier check-in, as we had been just driving around since our airport arrival with our luggage waiting the check-in time, as we needed to head out to town for a dinner appointment shortly after, which was helpful and good. With so many people and a child, it was a very early start to get all up, breakfast, packed and the place tidied and beds stripped by the departure time, but we did and left earlier. But this was just us and our opinion and probably our fault for not contacting to ask for more suitable times to suit us, but it did say on the booking not to ask.

Great house in Central location

Spacious rooms, nice big TV with firestick, well stocked kitchen with plenty of cleaning stuff. Also a welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, juice etc - very thoughtful. Great location, not far to walk into Southport.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable and bouncy (I'm used to my bed lol and I'm a bit fussy).
