We had a wonderful family stay at this apartment in Sofia. The location is excellent, right on a central street and just a 10-minute walk from the NDK (National Palace of Culture). It's truly in the heart of things and the surrounding area felt very safe.
The apartment itself is superb, huge, and fully equipped. It has two bedrooms with large king-sized beds, all featuring new mattresses, pillows, and linens. The main living area is an open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining room with a nice bar area. The windows offer a lovely view.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need: a coffee machine with a huge variety of available coffee pods, a large (new) refrigerator, oven, electric stove, and a dishwasher with detergent provided. We were never lacking for cooking utensils or dinnerware. We didn't even need to use the air conditioning in the living room. The living room boasts a huge sofa (which could easily be used for sleeping), a large TV with cable/satellite programming, and a sound system. High-speed internet was available throughout the entire apartment.
A practical feature we came to appreciate was the separate toilet room from the bathroom/shower room—it was very practical for a family. The bedrooms were very comfortable, featuring bedside tables, lighting, and large wardrobes. They also had windows with screens, which is a great touch. Additionally, there was a storage room containing a washing machine and drying rack, and even laundry detergent was provided! Absolutely nothing was missing.
This an unreservedly recommended place to stay!
Our host, Alex, was incredibly willing to help with anything we needed.
The apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator, so be warned if you have heavy or bulky luggage. However, we got used to the stairs by the second day.
During our stay, there was renovation work happening at the building. The ground floor entrance hallway was narrowed due to construction materials, and there was scaffolding quite close to our windows, but it didn't cause us any major problems. The only consistent "negative" was being woken up early by the bells of a nearby church.
