The apartment was nice, the hosts don't seem to care for the stress caused.
Self catering. The apartment was nice, the facilities I was expecting weren't there.
In summary. No one would call back too say if I could check in before 3. I was told rather indignantly if no call returned, it's still 3. I was told to be there at 2.45, I was, if it wasn't for the builders I would still have been outside at 6pm when the cleaner was to arrive (actually 6.15). The room hadn't been cleaned, there was no bed linen, the internet doesn't work, I was told I'd get at least a £30 refund for the internet not working. I had to rely on my phones mobile hotspot. The washing machine isn't plumbed in. The description said a dishwasher was in the apartment, there is no dishwasher, but tablets were left to use in one. Hot water from the tap in the bathroom, not in the kitchen, I had to boil the kettle to wash dishes properly. I don't recall reading there was a further £100 or £22 to pay. The bedroom window wouldn't stay open, this made the room too hot to sleep in. There are two bedside lamps, only one can be plugged in due to the location of the socket. The person who cleaned said the apartment was not meant to be cleaned until 6pm on a Friday. He didn't clean the bathroom sink or bath properly. The previous occupants towels were in the bath. It's a 'sea view apartment', it isn't. I do open water swimming, I brought things with me, I missed the tide waiting for the cleaner and a call from the regional manager, who didn't call. I was told indignantly also I was in room 15, apparently it's still 'under construction' I was put in room 3. Cleaning products? A bottle of washing up liquid and two dish washing sponges. There was an ironing board, I couldn't find the iron. Not that I needed it, but I didn't see a hairdryer. I'm glad I had the foresight to bring coat hangers as there were none. The apartment was cleaner on me leaving than when I got there. I have been waiting 5 days as I type this for a reply.
