Absolutely outstanding for my needs. Loved everything about my short stay.

This is a little gem. Wish we’d found it sooner. Morrisons small shop a minute away for any bits, kitchen there to make food, spotlessly clean.

We used the flat as a base for the first 2 nights of the C2C walk

The flat was very clean. There was milk and bottled water in the fridge as well as tea, coffee and cereal bars for the morning. Bob was very welcoming.

Amazing Apartment, Very Hospitable Hosts, Excellent All Round 5*****

A fantastic self contained apartment in the suburbs of Whitehaven, very well equipped with everything that you'd need. Comfortable beds, one twin room and one single room, spacious enough for 3, car parking space right outside, very quiet neighbourhood. The snack bars, hot chocolate, coffee and teas were a nice touch. Towels and toiletries were provided. Bob and his wife met us to hand over the keys, superbly welcoming and hospitable, they showed us where everything was and how the shower worked etc. There is a mini Morrisons a few minutes walk away, it's about 20 minutes walk into Whitehaven town (steep-ish hill if walking back up but buses and taxi's available if needed). Exceptional all round, happy to recommend and definitely somewhere we'd stay again when we're in the area.

We had short trip to Lake District and stayed here for 1 night. We met wonderful and hospitable owners. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Very reasonable price for this kind of place.

Great flat in Whitehaven

This is my 2nd stay here - immaculate, comfortable, convenient location, helpful hosts. Driveway to park the car, secure shed for bicycles. Milk in fridge, plenty of coffee, tea and even some little treats. Morrisons local shop round the corner. 20' walk to town centre.

My only suggestion would be to add bedside lamps or reading lights in bedrooms and living room.

Bob was a great host, the property is in a great location for travel around the lakes or like us starting coast2coast. The property was very clean with great touches such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk on arrival

Coast to coast accommodation

My friend and I were cycling the Coast to Coast route and Bobs Place was a great place to start. He also had a shed outside to store our bikes.

A lovely little town with a wealth of history and a comfortable and spotless accommodation

A very warm welcome and prompt & helpful communication prior to our arrival. A very quiet area from which we were able to stroll to the coast in the evening.

Base for visiting family

Well equipped clean flat, Bob met us directly to explain how everything worked. Lovely to have milk, tea and coffee left for us. It is on the outskirts of Whitehaven but the number 2 bus stop is just a few steps away from the flat taking you directly into town. Easy to get a taxi if you need to come back late.

Everything. It was very clean, comfortable and homely. Lots of special touches.Lovely views from the windows. Shop 2 minutes round the corner. Very quiet area.

The walk up the hill from town. But if you holiday in Cumbria you expect to climb a few hills.
