Spacious clean cottage in convenient location

This is a very spacious cottage far better than others we have stayed in. The host was good as he put the heating back on our one of our party had to work from there one day. The cottage was warm when the heating was on. The wifi was good which was a help for the working party and also for the tv. The owner was very helpful and always responded quickly. Also they did not expect anything of us even though we offered to removed bedding and clean before leaving. Would definitely use again if we were to return to the area. It is a great location so close to the main road there so easy to access the lakes and local towns and villages. Amazingly it is really quite even though close to a busy road.

These are minor things which may not bother some people but felt I should mention them. Only one hand towel and 2 bath towels although 3 of us. That may have been due to the short stay of 2 nights 2 days. The kitchen is stocked but it would have been nice to have a tea pot, a small cafeteria, a lid for a pan and a tea towel; only a kitchen hand towel provided so could not dry pots but this may be because there is a dishwasher. No floor brush so I could not clean and sweep the floors before I left but maybe not everyone does this and the host certainly didn't expect me to but I don't like leaving with out a quick clean before departure.

Cozy!

The cottage is so cute and well decorated (visited in December)! It's really cosy and warm. The kitchen is well equipped, even got salt and pepper! Still need to bring/buy your own oil. My family and I really enjoyed the stay and the views nearby.

A great place to stay.

All the essentials & luxuries of a home. Great base of operations for Scafell Pike. Very clean & modern home. The host was very helpful with any questions I had.

It's out in the sticks so you have to drive to get anywhere.
