New Central Guest House

This accommodation offers a decent value for money, room only, style set up and the owners appear to be taking steps to make improvements to bring it up a level. It was clean but basic providing what you need for a night in Blackpool. Shared toilets on each floor which were clean with plenty of spare “loo roll” and separate shower room in hallway (we didn’t use). The sink is in the room along with brewing up facilities, 2 x towels TV, wifi and most importantly a clean comfy bed. The accommodation is set down a side street so no sea view, with free on street parking the position is right in the middle so an easy walk to the tower/funfair. Not 4**** but value for money. Thanks for having us. Good luck with your future plans.

The host upgraded us to the newly decorated loft room VERY much appreciated but unfortunately the wifi and TV didn’t work ! She did try to reset the system but still no joy. We managed for the night. Still needs finishing off, as wires coming from ceiling but a good room with a sofa. We think abit more TLC and time spent which is in the plans will improve the standards and give it a lift up. I believe it is “pet friendly” place and the owners have dogs. To be honest there is a slight smell but nothing like reported in other reviews and it’s only in the hallway (plans to change carpets) NOT in the rooms we had.

Was perfect

I booked the New Central Guest House last minute after another hotel let me down on the way, and I couldn’t have landed on my feet in a better spot. My hosts were amazing. They were so friendly and welcoming, and they reassured they could accommodate my dog. When I had to leave her in the room, they kept me updated on her and were so kind when she got a bit noisy!. No judgment at all, just reassurance, which meant the world to me when I was starting to panic a bit. And allowed me to continue having a great day/night. The room was small (but it was a single so what do you expect?!) but had everything I needed . A comfy bed, TV with all the channels, a kettle, my own sink and cupboards – and it was spotless. A bowl and mat was even provided for my dog. And regular tea/milk/coffee top ups were no issue. The location is perfect too, just a short walk (1 minutes) to the beach with loads of lovely cafés nearby. Honestly, nothing was too much trouble for my hosts, and their kindness really made the stay. I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it . Particularly if accompanied by a 4 legged friend.

It was in a quiet location

We didn’t actually stay at the property we booked, we got moved to a different b&b, Liam was very nice and said he would bring towels and tea and coffee facilities but they never arrived, we asked for loo roll but that didn’t arrive we had to buy some, and the tv didn’t work, the remotes didn’t match the tv. and we didn’t sleep great as was too hot. I think it was a small double bed so wasn’t a lot of room. Also the shower was either very very hot and then turned it down slightly and it went very cold.
