Il rifugio del cuore

Hands down the best experience I have ever had with a property and host while travelling, and it isn't even close. Michela is an absolute gem; immensely kind, helpful, considerate, and a greatly interesting person. She let me know the day before arrival that the house was ready and we could check in as soon as we would like. I also had a job interview the day we were meant to check out, and she was so easy-going about it, encouraging us to stay as long as needed. She did not even mention an early check-in or late check-out fee. She behaved as a considerate human being and treated us with the utmost kindness and respect. It did not feel like her generosity was transactional in any way. The house is in a beautiful tucked-away spot near the top of the mountain. It's a windy road and narrow at points, but Michela sent us a video of the last few km since the GPS tends to get confused when you near the house. Definitely need a car to get to it easily, but we loved how quiet and secluded it was. The view was amazing; there was always a lovely breeze and the house kept reasonably cool during the hot day, though a fan was available to us. 2 bedrooms, both cool and cozy, and clean. Only tried one of the beds, and it was very comfortable for the entire trip. Michela left us snacks and some breakfast items. She also lent us spices when we wanted to cook. She was also kind enough to lend us extra towels for the beach. She took stock of the kind of vacation we were after and recommended amazing beaches and a beautiful river spot for us to relax at. Honestly, it was an amazing vacation which was made better by such a generous, attentive, and genuine host. Never change, Michela! It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, and we are certain that we would always return to stay at this property if we return to Massa!

No complaint at all; we loved it.

La vista era un po' ostacolata ma stupenda, la suddivisione della casa direi perfetta, la possibilità di intraprendere sentieri di montagna.

Il bagno sarebbe da ristrutturare, (pelo nell' uovo)

Luogo luminoso e nella natura, dove il cuore può stare molto bene. Panorama mozzafiato, struttura ben fornita, accoglienza familiare. Ottimo punto di partenza a Massa e Carrara per il mare della Versilia, le Alpi Apuane, la Lunigiana ecc. Ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Il panorama, la tranquillità, l'appartamento, il clima, l'accoglienza e la disponibilità della signora Michela, il rapporto qualità prezzo. Un paradiso per ciclisti anche se le strade sono strette e in alcuni tratti trafficate.

Da Massa ci sono 3/4 km di strada stretta.
