Casa del Saraceno

The apartment was really nice inside. It had cold drinking water, a Nespresso coffee machine, and all the kitchen amenities you would need during your stay. The bathroom was also equipped with a hairdryer.

However, I am giving a minus to the location due to being in a zone with traffic restrictions, and we found it hard to park our car safely. The neighborhood it is in looks like a ghetto, and locals weren’t very polite with tourists.

The property was nice and reasonably clean. The best features were definitely the air conditioning and the WiFi, both of which worked really well and made our stay much more comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, although there is a little room for improvement with the cleanliness.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The oven repeatedly tripped the electricity for the entire apartment, which was very inconvenient. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and after a week my back was really hurting! The shower facilities are in need of significant improvement, with parts of the shower starting to fall apart. We also found it difficult to recycle our waste due to the confusing waste collection system in Palermo. The surrounding area was another downside. The street was very noisy, there were often odd “weird”people outside, and many of the nearby alleys were dirty and smelled strongly of urine. Overall, while the apartment has some good features, there are several issues that need to be addressed to make it a more comfortable place to stay.
