Location

Pros- good location, good connectivity with transportation, good Restaurant around the property. Lots of car charging options nearby. Cons- There were quite a few issues with the property from a health and safety perspective but the host quickly mended it to make it safe. There were water leaks in the kitchen and the passage to the family bathroom which still needs to be mended. A chair was broken which was known to the host but was not replaced. One of the bedrooms door frame was broken and should be repaired as soon as possible. The vacuum cleaner is broken and could not be used during our stay. Overall the property needs some work done so that it matches the price the host charges from its customers.

Value for money - though i got a great deal as one of the first to stay here...location superb and easy to find with nearby parking arranged via a permit by the hosts. Comfy and well arranged. Coffee and tea available. Lots of useful facilities for longer stay - wifi, fridges, etc... Smart looking

Some of the finishing to the refurb is a bit odd and one of the toilets is oddly positioned. Minor quibbles. New front door would add a lot though.

The place is very central, which is useful as we had an event that meant we needed access to buses. It also had enough room for all of us.

I'm going to be honest, there are a lot of faults with this place. The only reason we didn't leave the first night was because we had nowhere else to go and the event was already in progress. There is damp on the first floor and you can hear the water from the showers above flooding down into the area- the ceiling is squishy to the touch and there is mold on the wall. Two of the showers in the upper rooms are just either not attached to the wall or attached very roughly to it. The bannister leading up to the second floor has nothing on one side holding it in and it's very wobbly. Me and my partner had the room which sits at the front of the property and the window is permanently jammed open- which meant we didn't sleep much at all the entire weekend because the music from the van across the road and people racing their cars around Cheltenham, as well as screaming and fighting in the streets below were so loud we'd need industrial hearing protection to sleep well through it. The others in the other rooms also reported barely sleeping because of the noise even with windows closed. The house was also not thoroughly cleaned while we were there as when we were tidying on the last day, we found the source of a foul smell in the living room- meat from what I assume to have been the previous tennants that had been left there on top of the fridge in the heat. As well as this, many things were just not up to scratch, with wobbly cabinets, chairs without their tops attached and also very, very dirty etc etc. All in all I do not believe this place should have been rented out in it's current state. If we had known of all these issues beforehand I would have found us somewhere to stay, which just wasn't possible while we were there as there were many events happening in Cheltenham at the time.
