Stylish 3 bed Ponsonby apartment

Nice and tidy. Central location, lovely and warm.

Needed a few more glasses.

Very close to the city

Got confused when we arrived on where the house were and where to enter to the garage. But once I figure it out it was all good

The location was prime - within easy walking distance to a grocery store (Woolworth), and many restaurants and shops. I also appreciated that there was a washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the unit, which made it super convenient for a traveling family. The unit is also well-equipped with anything you need to cook/dine. The two bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated - really nicely done. The unit has a movie 'perch' with a projector, which is accessible via a short ladder from the main living room floor. The unit itself is very spacious, and comes with a nice terrace on which you can enjoy a meal or use the tabletop bbq when weather permits.

The unit is on the 3rd floor from the basement car park, 2nd from street level, with no lift. The car park is super tight, e.g. passengers exited the vehicle so that we could park as close to the pillars as possible to leave room for the neighboring car. While the bathrooms appear to have been renovated, much of the remainder of the apartment does not reflect that. There were layers of dust on many of the surfaces indicating that they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The two sofas in the living room had what felt like springs in them that poked at you when you sat down, making the experience quite uncomfortable without the use of the added throw pillows for added cushion. Towels and bedding were left in the dryer - we folded some prior to laundering our clothes. We did not receive the code to access the building or unit and had to reach out to the owner to provide that information, which he quickly did so we were pleased with the speed of his response, so really not that big of a deal. There is some clutter in closets, and the furniture, particularly in the bedroom, was a mismatch collection of pieces that didn't really fit a central theme or uniform design. Due to heavy rain, the skylight in the bathroom also leaked and we had to leave a few towels down to absorb the dripping water.
