Seasuntour - Lo Scrigno

Please read before my review: I did NOT actually stay at the Seasuntour Apartment that I originally booked. Two days before my arrival, I was informed that it was no longer available, and I was moved to two different properties instead. Therefore, this review reflects my experience at Casa Lenù and Dragon Fly Inn Apartment, where I was relocated. Positives: The staff member who communicated with me on behalf of the host was very kind and helpful throughout the situation, and the cleaning lady was also very friendly. I appreciated that they agreed to provide a €50 refund after I decided to check out early. Casa Lenù, where I stayed for my first night, was a nice apartment and I actually preferred it over Dragon Fly Inn because it is located in Piazza Tasso, which is where I had intentionally booked Seasuntour apartment. The location was great and much more convenient for exploring Sorrento than Marina Grande. I preferred Casa Lenù over the Dragon Fly Inn apartment.

Unfortunately, I was notified only two days before my arrival that the Seasuntour Apartment I had booked months in advance was no longer available, they didn’t provide reasoning either . Because I had planned my entire Europe trip months in advance, my only alternatives at that point were accommodations that were either fully booked or significantly more expensive, so I didn’t really have another practical option besides accepting the replacements. Casa Lenù was a great apartment, I would have liked to stay there, but I was only able to stay there for one night. The next morning I had to get up earlier than I wanted and check out by 10:00 a.m., pack everything up, and move to Dragon Fly Inn Apartment. After traveling for several weeks, I had been looking forward to finally settling into one place, sleeping in, and enjoying the accommodation I had paid for in piazza tasso, NOT marina grande, so having to spend another morning moving to the next apartment was frustrating. The Sorrento portion of my trip was meant to be relaxing. When I arrived at Dragon Fly Inn, the apartment was still dirty from the previous guest’s mess. I was able to leave my luggage and explore, but the apartment wasn’t cleaned and ready until around 4:00 p.m.. I felt like I lost a large portion of the day I had paid for because I couldn’t properly unpack or relax in the apartment until late afternoon. Although the cleaning lady was very kind, I didn’t feel the apartment was cleaned thoroughly. There were still particles of sand and dirt in the bathroom shower, and overall the cleanliness level did not meet my expectations. I read the reviews for Dragon Fly Inn and found cleanliness to be a common issue for past guests. I also found the shower itself to be underwhelming, the shower head was a rainfall shower head but it was old and didn’t work properly it was more like a garden hose stream of water than a shower.

Amazing location, great support from the staff, Gabriele did his very best to make us feel at home. Highly recommended!
