Unfortunately, my experience with this property fell well below expectations. The accommodation was unfinished and unprepared for guests, and I shared photos with the host immediately. On top of that, poor connectivity and a security concern made me feel unsafe and forced me to leave. I asked early on about alternative accommodation, but no clear options were offered until the end of my stay. A partial refund was proposed, but only if I remained in the same unsuitable property. The situation lacked transparency and timely communication, and I’ve had to escalate it through the booking platform. I would not recommend this property.

A misleading and unsafe property — dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing like the description advertised except a short

The location was the only thing on the property listing that was semi accurate

I’m very disappointed with my stay at this property (“3 Bed Stylish Apartment, Recently Renovated with Brand Furniture – Oxford”). The apartment looked nothing like the advert - the photographs were heavily enhanced with AI and the conditions were far below acceptable standards. Upon arrival, we discovered the flat is located above takeaway shops, with access through a dirty alleyway full of overflowing bins and rubbish — something not mentioned in the listing. The front door was broken and left insecure throughout our stay despite assurances it would be fixed, which made us feel unsafe. Cleanliness was also a major issue: a pair of underwear was left hanging in one of the rooms, a light bulb was covered with a plastic bag (a serious fire hazard), and the whole apartment smelled of cooking from the takeaways below. Surfaces were sticky and it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. After sleeping in the top bedroom, I woke up covered in insect bites, suggesting a possible bed bug problem. I had to wash all my clothes and bedding when I returned home to avoid bringing anything back. The furnishings were nothing like the “stylish” or “brand new” items described — everything felt cheap and tired, with plastic cutlery and basic crockery. Overall, this property was misleading, unhygienic, and unsafe. It should not be advertised in its current state. I would not recommend staying here until serious improvements are made, including pest treatment, proper cleaning, and accurate listing details.
