The Crows Nest

We met the owner on the way into the apartment, he was very friendly and welcoming helping us get the keys from the lock box and making sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything needed especially little touches like tea and coffee, salt and pepper already in the apartment. The cooking facilities were spot on and there was plenty of information about local attractions and restaurants. The owner even gave us details of local walks. Very nice place to stay, great base for the Peak District.

Parking space, easy to understand directions on space and bollards. Excellent location. Pool table was a hit.

Nothing we both have no complaints

The apartment in the main was nice and comfortable. We had easy access to town. The owner came to help when we had difficulty with the bollards. The space was huge in the living room.

I had the master bedroom. The bathroom had issues with screws missing from the toilet seat - it actually looked like they'd been snapped off. The sink unit cold tap swivelled. The bathroom needs a bit of renovation. As someone standing at 6ft 4in it was incredibly hard to bend down "under" the cabinet to clean teeth in a small sink or to wash. Temperature control was not great. I was freezing cold and put the heating on, only for my daughters (sharing in the next room) to complain it was too hot for them. So I remained cold or had to wear extra layers in bed all weekend!
