Welcome to Bryn Tor, a spacious 1930s Art Deco holiday home set in the historic market town of Bolsover, offering stunning rural views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thoughtfully renovated, this elegant property blends vintage charm with modern convenience, creating the perfect setting for families, couples, and friends.
Period furnishings - many lovingly restored - are featured throughout the house, from antique beds to the timeless roll-top bath. Two inviting living rooms, each with an open fire, provide a cosy retreat after a day exploring the nearby countryside. Whether you're curling up with a book or sharing stories over a glass of wine, the atmosphere here is relaxed and full of character.
The well-appointed kitchen offers everything you need to feel at home, including a Neff oven, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge, freezer, and coffee-making facilities. Meals can be enjoyed indoors or outside in the private, dog-friendly courtyard garden, complete with outdoor furniture and access to the adjoining four-acre field. This space is ideal for al fresco dining, wildlife spotting, or simply soaking up the uninterrupted countryside views.
Upstairs, you'll find two comfortable double bedrooms and a charming single room, accommodating up to five guests. The main bathroom features underfloor heating and a roll-top bath with a shower attachment. A separate downstairs shower room adds extra convenience.
Bryn Tor is perfectly placed for exploring Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Bolsover Castle is just minutes away, while Hardwick Hall, Chatsworth House, and Haddon Hall are all within easy driving distance. Sherwood Forest, steeped in the legend of Robin Hood, lies just half an hour away, with miles of scenic walks and cycle paths beneath ancient oaks. For those keen to explore further afield, the Peak District offers a rich mix of dramatic landscapes, historic villages, and outdoor adventures.

This lovely home is in such a unique setting with well maintained gardens and field at the rear. The owner of the property is extremely helpful and really made us feel welcome
The accommodation runs on a prepayment meter for electric, and all appliances are electric, including the heating. Our booking information via Finest Retreats didn’t indicate this, and it would have been quite a costly addition for our stay, had the host not have been so gracious and helpful with us. So would just advise Finest Retreats include this information for future bookings
