Throughly enjoyed my first trip to the Peak District, and will stay at Rivendale again on the future.

The lodge is in a great location and has everything needed for a stay including washing machine and dishwasher. The corner shop in the reception is great addition. Each lodge has its own parking space ensuring you can park near your lodge. Highly recommended and would 100% stay again in the future.

It was very boring. No indoor or outdoor activities. No baby high chair. Very late chack in time. We arrived at 2:30pm a

Overall it was lovely and we probably would book again .

The lodge was fabulous apart from the tatty leather couch which had a throw on the seat part to obviously cover it and was ripped in the arm. Would have been better with the lodge facing the other way rather than overlooking the car park. The location was stunningly beautiful and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Amazing and will be coming back!

Beautiful setting and lodges. Really amazing place with exceptional views. Well considered and throughout location with great facilities and an amazing restaurant backed up by excellent service from all staff

Only criticism was Washing machine failed and locked wet, smelly walking clothes overnight and couldn’t wash clean. Also could do with a mop as all areas are hard surfaces, so mop would be helpful

Great location, modern and clean facilities

Exceptionally contemporary and remarkably well-maintained, especially impressive given that the property welcomes pets. The lodge features excellent amenities, including a washer and dishwasher. Hot tub a great feature. Fantastic walking trails straight from the lodges.

The additional charge for hot tub robes seems inconsistent with the premium pricing - these amenities would typically be included at this rate. The towel allocation was insufficient for our stay. While we enjoyed discovering there was live entertainment in the bar, advance notice of scheduled performances would enhance the guest experience and allow for better planning. At this price point, modern amenities like a smart TV would be expected standard features.

Ideal place if you’re a rambler , or just wanting a few day’s away from it all .

The lodge was excellent and everything about it was 1st class , unfortunately the location was a little isolated for what we required, if your a walker or a cyclist it’s ideal , the views are limited and walks within the confines of the property are very poor .

They don’t encourage you to have visitors, parking is very limited. Taking children is a complete waste of time has there is no facilities for them to play .

All in all it was a good stay for a weekend away at the heart of Peak District. Would definitely recommend.

It was spacious

Quite a few spiders but I guess that was expected. Also the designated car park spot for the property was not situated near the property, which made it inconvenient as we had to walk around another car park to get to the property.

Well Maintained with Very Friendly Staff

Everything is very well maintained here, the appliances are all very good quality and everything was spotlessly clean. The attached restaurant was fantastic as well, very well priced for what you get along with the lodge itself, not to mention the amazing location, being nestled away in a stunning valley. It truly felt like getting away. We had an issue with our boiler which was resolved with utmost care and efficiency, the staff are very friendly and we were given access to another lodge for when we needed to shower which was not a problem at all (less than a 5 minute walk) and repairs were sorted in only a couple of days (very impressive since their usual contact was away at the time). We were also given heaters should we need them, but it was June at the time so they never really saw use. It was a nice touch though which we appreciated :) On top of that we received a generous part refund for the trouble which none of us asked for or even expected for such a minor issue, they truly went above and beyond for us and evidently strive to do the best they can for people

Nothing to comment on, this was still a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely recommend it to most travelling groups (families, friends, couples etc.) who want to ACTUALLY get away for a few days :)

Exceptional Vacation Accommodation

We had exceptional stay at Rivendale Lodge Retreat, In the middle of the nature park. Very modern and clean accommodation. We loved everything there. We tried to extend our stay but unfortunately was fully booked. For sure we will comeback again.

Lodge too small, facilities unable to reach.

Very clean but extremely small lodge, and the oven is very high up on the shelf, unable to cook anything in it. No microwave and one side of the bed was unpassable, and only fit for stick ppl. Lodge shook if lorries went fast down the main Rd, very close to main Rd. But the other lodges were amazing, all extremely beautiful clean, and one one bedroomed one had a roll top bath. Just wish we had upgraded. Setting is truly amazing, and all facilities are cleaned to a high standard.

Lodge too small, nowhere to hang two wet coats or walking boots. Oven so high up unable to access it, and no microwave.
