The Englishman's Clock Tower Hostel & More

A unique hostel in the heart of Shkodër, right next to the bus station — incredibly convenient. The building has real character and the rooms are lovingly restored; a true gem. The owners are outstandingly helpful and friendly. They pointed us toward the best markets, day trips, and eateries, and were an absolute lifeline for local bus knowledge (I had an ambitious onward route and needed it). They went above and beyond throughout the stay. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable, unique, and friendly base for a few nights.

Das ganze Haus ist unglaublich schön genauso wie der riesige Schlafsaal. Holz, Mosaik bemalte Wände, bunte Scheiben. Am Bett befindet sich eine Leselampe und eine Steckdose, was sehr selten und gut ist! Der Vermieter ist kommunikativ und freundlich und kann gute Tipps zur Umgebung und notwendigen Verbindungen geben. Das Hostel liegt zentral zum Bus und interessanten Plätzen .

Die Lage war sehr zentral, prima und der persönliche Service im Hotel war excellent und sehr zu empfehlen.

Great location and only a few minutes walk to the main padestrian street with bars and restaurants. Good shower and wifi. The shuttle to go to the Komani Ferry picks up here, which was another reason for booking this hotel.

We only reserved this place as we were assured that there was parking included for 2 Euros per day (we asked twice via message on booking.com). When we turned up, staff knew nothing about this??!!, which made the situation stressful for us, as nearby parking was 15 euros per day and we needed it for 3 days. Wish we had booked another hotel. The Receptionist wanted us to park outside the hotel in a taxi only zone, with nearby Traffic Wardens hanging around, which of course we didn't do. The listing on booking.com also said we could pay by credit card. On arrival it was cash only (as they said their credit card machine "was broken" (a common response we have heard 5 or 6 times during this trip). Also, no tv in room. The bathroom was a tiny wet room with the shower almost on top of the toilet.
