Key to Sorrento holiday house

Ο χωρος ηταν πολυ ανετος και οι παροχες ηταν ικανοποιητικες.

Η τοποθεσια ηταν λιγο μακρυα απο το κεντρο και ηταν δυσκολα οταν ανεβαινες λογω της ανηφορας.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful. It is clean modern with every facility you could think of. The two bathrooms and two bedrooms provide enough space for a family of four and I believe there is an additional sofa bed. There are USB ports in most rooms, decent internet, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need should you wish to cook a meal or two. The air-conditioning works well throughout the apartment and there is plenty of storage, washing machine and all the usual features of a self catering apartment. A massive shout out for the host Melanie who runs the property for the owner, she could not do enough for us and she is probably one of the best hosts we have ever encountered thank you. Highly recommend the restaurant just up the road Ristorante da Filippo, great atmosphere, super food and won’t cost you the Earth like some places in the town centre. Sorrento itself is beautiful, we also had an excellent day on the Amalfi coast, (private tour was spectacular), Capri Island (busy tourist trap) and a trip to Pompeii (get your guide). A highlight of our holiday was an excellent pizza making experience which was a fabulous evening and highly recommend.

As others have said the apartment is up a hill, away from the centre, (so on one hand is lovely and quiet), on booking they tell you about this and we didn’t think this would be a problem for us as we are all fit and used to walking. However, in 35° heat it can become quite an intense walk during the middle of the day. Just something to consider when booking. The bed in the second bedroom is rather uncomfortable and my daughter struggled to sleep. And finally, I was disappointed that there was no facility to sit out on the balcony as pictured in the advertising materials. The balcony is extremely small (more a step out) and you cannot even fit a chair to sit on and enjoy the view. I do feel the photos are misleading in this respect, but all other photos are accurate and the apartment itself is absolutely stunning.

Melanie came to meet us and helped with all the luggage. We were very pleased. She helped us with everything and described how everything in the house worked. She was very friendly and helpful. A very nice apartment with a new and thoughtful design. It has everything needed to suit five people. They even provided five luggage racks.
