Excellent city accommodation in the beating heart of the Sorrento peninsula
Cielomare Apartment is in the iconic city of Sorrento, on the Campania coast. Set on the 5th floor (lift access), the apartment extends over 90m², with space for up to 5 people.
The apartment is set on Via degli Aranci, around 5 minutes’ walk from Piazza Tasso, the heart of the city, with the train station and buses just 2 minutes’ away on foot.
The first thing that strikes you when you enter the apartment is the many decorative details, from the floor to the ceiling, including beautiful antique furniture. The apartment is filled with light thanks to two large French windows that lead on to a terrace furnished with small tables and chairs. From here, you can enjoy wonderful views over the sea as well as the iconic sight of Vesuvius.
The open plan living space is thoughtfully broken up into separate areas by columns and archways. There’s a sitting area with a sofa, two armchairs, small tables, and a sofa bed; a workspace with a period desk and chair, an antique cupboard, and a television; and a dining area with a table, six chairs and a dresser.
The galley kitchen is set in the corner of the open plan room. Amenities at the apartment include a 4-ring hob, fridge freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, washing machine and hoover.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
The living area leads directly to the bedrooms:
• Bedroom 1 with private bathroom: double bed (can be made into twins), bedside tables, fitted wardrobe, embellished chest of drawers, 2 upholstered chairs, French windows to a balcony (part of a larger veranda), equipped with an airer for hanging washing, and a sink.
• Bedroom 2: double bed, bedside tables, upholstered chair, large wardrobe, French windows to furnished sea view terrace, mirror, two chest of drawers.
• Additional sleeping area: double sofa bed in living room
• Bathroom 1 (ensuite to bedroom 1): fitted basin, mirror, toilet, bidet, shower cubicle, heated towel rail and hairdryer
• Bathroom 2: fitted basin, mirror, toilet, bidet, shower cubicle, heated towel rail and hairdryer.

Great location for visiting Sorrento. Great view from this 5th floor apartment with an elevator. Management was very responsive on one small issue we reported. I would recommend this property to others.

The location was walkable to the town center. It was across the street from the train station, but we never heard a train. It made it very convenient to travel to other cities like Pompeii and Rome. The host was responsive to any questions that we had.

Cielomare was a wonderful place to stay. The communication leading up to arrival was very good. They even arranged for transportation from the train station on the day we arrived and to the airport when we left. Someone met us as soon as we arrived to let us in and show us the essentials of the apartment. We almost immediately had happy hour on the balcony with a beautiful sunset view of Mount Vesuvius. We then went to Ndre restaurant which was a five minute walk. It was our favorite restaurant of our 30-day trip. Our stay at Cielomare could not have been better. I highly recommend!!

Overall I wouldn't recommend the apartment if you're planning on staying for a long period of time - it's fine if you're there for a day or two. The apartment itself was very clean and is in a great location with a great view however, both bathrooms are extremely small and defective (to be specific, the showers were approx 2.5ft by 2.5ft and there was no water pressure or ability to get warm water - it was either extremely hot or extremely cold). If it was a day or two, it's not a major issue or inconvenience but if you're there for a long time its not comfortable...there's no room in the shower. My family stayed for a little over a week and in addition to the small bathrooms, we didn't have enough basic paper towels, toiletries and toilet paper to sustain us so we bought our own. We even had to ask for garbage bags as only one bag was provided to us knowing that we were going to be there for over a week.
