The cottages were perfect, renovated with a rustic feel. We had lots of snow before the melt. The location to the lake is close would be a gem in the summer months.
Didn’t like the fact they removed the wood stove fire place. Parking is a little far from the cottages which will turn off certain people and would impact accessibility challenged. They provide sleds which is great and is a part of the experience. There is not a lot to do in Port Carling in winter. For anything needed need to go back to Bracebridge.

It is located on the lake with a wonderful shallow sandy beach. The cottage was well equipped. Be sure to bring your own water.
The cabin has been renovated and is very well built. The air conditioner worked great.
Also, I appreciate that since Muskoka was under a fire ban, they removed the fire pits so no one was tempted to make campfire.
The staff was non-existent. Only once in 2 days did one of the owners speak when I asked if there were any vacancies. There is an older man who does the mantience who stares you down from a distance. It's kinda creepy.
The mattresses need replacing.
There is too much geese poop at the beach. I guess that can't be helped. But guests with dogs know better, and I had to yell across the yard for a guy who didn't pick up his dogs poop.
