Domus Aventino Apartment

Location was good - near Metro stop, near Circus Maximus and also near many restaurants. In a quiet complex off the street. Very large and well-equipped sitting room. Bed area was small (and an odd location near the external door), but the sitting area was very nice and comfortable.

Entrance code and "check-in" was a little complicated but it worked out fine. (Room was not ready when we arrived and we had to come back).

Aventino is a lovely quiet neighbourhood right next to Circus Maximus, and only a short walk to all of central Rome (ancient and modern) right beyond. The hosts are super helpful and responsive (on WhatsApp). The apartment is in a very private and quiet setting, and has everything needed for a longer stay. The complimentary cleaning service provided for stays over 4 days was very welcome.

While the hosts are very helpful, and available pretty much at any time, the downside is you are presented with 4 different people/contacts in 4 different WhatsApp chats, which makes things a little confusing. The lockbox for the keys is behind a locked gate. This adds a bit to stress when you need to leave the keys behind for the cleaner, hoping someone will answer the doorbell to let you back in later. And it makes leaving a little tricky because the gate must be opened with the key from the inside but must also be left behind inside. The upside of course is a great feeling of privacy and security.

Appartamento comodo e abbastanza pulito, quartiere molto tranquillo e sicuro, personale disponibilissimo e ottimo self check in
