Quite-Safe-Clean-See past guests' comments-Located in the center of the ancient Rome, walking distance from metro (650 meters), train station to/from Airport (850 meters), many buses two minutes from home to connect you with the main touristic attractions. Colosseum/Imperial Forum/Trastevere 1.5 km away. St. Peter's 4 km (direct bus). Third floor with elevator, in a truly Roman neighborhood (Testaccio). Bright, clean and very quite apartment, recently and completely renovated. Provided for free: WiFi & ADSL, air conditioning, heater, drinkable water, electricity, washing & dishing machine, towels, linens, iron&ironing board, safety box, detergents, soaps, hair dryer. Kitchen fully equipped (fridge, freezer, micro-wave, electric stove & oven, orange juicer, toaster, boiler, dishing machine, cuttleries). Within walking distance a guarded garage. Here in Testaccio you can find: the local market, supermarkets, trattorias, excellent and genuine groceries, wine & gourmet shops, pizzerias, beer shops, and the typical bakeries where you can find authentic Roman pizza.The Quarter is one of the most lively, cultural and artistic centers in Rome: theatres, cinema, book shop, wine bars, restaurants & pizzerias but even a Church, some playgrounds for children and many ice cream shops!

The amenities were in excellent condition. The provided a comprehensive book of recommendations on everything from gelaterias to restaurants to sites to visit to the transportation options. She was responsive and helpful. I've had great hosts, but nobody who has made the stay so easy.

First, Paula is an amazing host. She is incredibly helpful and thorough. Any question you may have, she is able to answer, and provides a wealth of information a first time visitor to Rome would never know to ask for. The home is clean, and secure. As a host, Paula has provided far more than I would have expected. The space was comfortable and the location was perfect for public transportation access as well as walking if you are one who prefers to travel on foot. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience and would absolutely recommend this home!

There are two main reasons to book this apartment - esp if you are rookie American travelers as we were!
1. The location is 👌🏼 It is in the Testaccio area of Rome which has a very local vibe but is close to everything. Technically you can walk to the main sites BUT you will be our your feet all day, you really should use public transportation- it is easy and the stops are very close to the apartment. Paola suggested we download the “Moovit” app and that made busses and metro a snap! (It works in Florence, Venice, etc too.) The area is know for its authentic Roman food and there were lots of quaint and delicious restaurants close by. Paola recommends several and we found her to be accurate. In addition, it quiets down very well at night. We had the windows cracked open all night and didn’t have any problem with noise.
2. As I have already alluded to, Paola is extremely helpful. Everything you could need is in the apartment: adaptors, guide books, restaurant recommendations, plus all the amenities mentioned in the listing. It is small (for Americans - the bathroom especially) but that is part of the charm. It is immaculately clean and comfortable.
