The location of Sandown House is beautiful, the accommodation, bedroom, shower room to high standard

I arrived late due to flight times and as soon as I pulled in Simon came to the door greeted me and showed me to my room - which they upgraded. I was asked what time I wanted breakfast, shown to my room, a quick orientation - ideal when arriving late.

Please don’t change something that works, stop diluting the 5+ star!

Simon was lovely, very friendly and very accommodating.

The toiletries (shampoo conditioner body wash) used to be beautiful from the Scottish Highland Soap company unfortunately it’s been changed. They are now inferior cheap products and in cheap black plastic bottles that once depressed wouldn’t pop back up. There is also now a small cheap black plastic bin in the room that looks like it’s from home bargains that has replaced the beautiful bedroom bin. However Simon being so lovely makes up for these unfortunate decisions. His breakfast was great!

Faultless host, spotless room and accommodating to allergy sufferers.

Simon the host is faultless in service delivery. The room was large comfy and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Simon had left fresh milk in the fridge for us to make a cuppa which was lovely. My comments so far rate this hotel as 10 out of 10 however this score does not reflect the additional unreported service ratings. I suffer from a lot of allergies so hotel stays can be a nerve racking experience for me but Sandown House does not allow dogs, the room really was spotless and Simon was more than willing to accommodate me at breakfast and I felt completely relaxed and assured I was not going to suffer any repercussions. I would definitely say this is an allergy friendly establishment. Thank you so much Simon.

Beautiful room

A lovely big room, very spacious. Wanted this room for the balcony, but sadly it rained for most of the time so didn't utilise this as much as I liked. Nonetheless, it was lovely.

I wasn't sure where to go upon first arrival, thank fully we were greeted by someone being outside. Only other thing which would have made it perfect was to have a bath but can't hold that against them as it clearly states it's a shower.

Very well decorated, an extremely comfy bed. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent and filter coffee provided in the bedroom.

Highly enjoyable stay. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast and very comfortable beds. Peaceful.

Being offered an upgrade. Excellent breakfast with warm welcome. Good choice, although Porridge, my favourite wasn’t available. Food very tasty and cooked breakfast was piping hot.

We had nothing to say we didn’t like. Improvements might include Kippers of smoked haddock cooked at breakfast as an option. Beds made up after breakfast on second day and heating on arrival would provide a benefit. We put the heating on ourselves and it made a difference.

Simon and Babs were both so hospitable and friendly. Both had great recommendations that were helpful in planning our stay and also while in Nairn. Terrific breakfast as well!

Best nights stay of our holiday! Everything we could need, delicious food and top local tips.

Fantastic location very easy to find. The bed was luxurious and the room came with blinds and black out linings on the curtains so no sunlight sneaking in in the morning. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and local produce. We asked about places to go locally and were given great suggestions which enhanced our trip.

Lovely hotel. Lovely location. Even lovelier staff

The staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating to my fussy dietary preferences. I woke up with a sore throat and they made me a hot honey and lemon without me even asking. So friendly and truly a lovely experience. I would go back 100%

Peaceful location but convenient for both Nairn and Inverness close to road network. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked with a varied choice for both hot and cold food. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Spacious room with balcony.
