The location and things were done to a high standard.

Think the shower plug needs to be looked at due to the water pooling and worried it was going to spill over tray. Sink plug also does the same thing. Mattress is soft but thats my comfort levels.

Fantastic location, very quirky and idyllic property, although small had everything we needed. Car park only a short walk away and the views across the marina were lovely.

Was slightly awkward getting into the complex as intercom not working.

PROS: Stayed here Monday 25th May to Friday 29th May 2026 - bank holiday week with my partner and 6 year old child. The weather in Brighton was absolutely blistering, amazing and the coast was buzzing! We were placed in number 21, On the Water 7 through My Getaways. The apartment on arrival was stunning.  Quaint, clean, neat and very retro. Cosy throws to keep warm. Complimentary teas, sachets of coffee and sugar. Washing up liquid, a sponge and cloth and x2 toilet rolls and liquid soap were provided to get us started.  Ironing facilities, washing machine and a portable fan too. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. The location itself is amazing! Literal views of the Marina from our apartment and very quiet (perhaps too quiet if you have a young family). Asda was a very short walk away, as were so many different eateries.  A number of different things to do such as bowling and Globalls at the Marina for kids. Also getting the bus into the city was very easy. I would highly recommend this to place couples or solo travellers. 

CONS: If you have disability issues or very small children, I would not recommend this accommodation. Stairs inside of the apartment are VERY steep. There is a step before you enter your front door and a step to the rear patio of the apartment should you wish to sit outside. Wide gaps on the railings of the walkway and on the terrace - easy for a child to slip through and land in the water. There was no microwave despite one being advertised in the initial description. No instructions on how to work the hob or oven, so we had to figure it out.  A welcome pack inside of the accommodation would have been helpful.  Yes, we had received a number of messages from My Getaways in the lead up to the stay with certain bits info, but had to continually refer to our phones to reference it. Upstairs was like a sauna, despite a fan being provided. The wifi was dreadful. The TV and our devices continued to buffer with an unstable connection at all times of the day. The sofa bed was equally awful. A hard metal pole directly in the centre of the bed made it impossible to get comfy. Not sure it would accommodate 2 people either. No blackout curtain on the patio doors, just a net. Great in the day, not so good at night. Bright lights shone through from restaurants opposite, lighting the room at bed time. Not family, group or accessibly friendly. This review is based on my opinion and not a bash at My Getaways, who provide exceptional accommodation.
