Sunny 2b Beachside Apartment

We booked this apartment at the last minute for 8 nights. The location was 10 out of 10. Close by it has a Spar supermarket 100m, a great butcher 100m, a great bakery 200m, there is also a smaller store between the butcher and bakery that has vegetables and other goods. The location is also within easy walking distance of the ferry port and not too far to walk from the bus stop in the centre of town. The publicly accessible Sunset Beach is just a 5-10 minute walk away and it's a great beach for swimming and cooling off on summer. There are a number of good restaurants around this area too. Plenty of food options. We generally cook for ourselves as we are travelling in Europe for 6+ months. The apartment is very big with two good sized bedrooms. There is air-conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom. It would suit a family stay. There was only two of us. The apartment was good value compared with similar smaller apartments in Sarandë in this area.

Please if you are reading this review do not let the following put you off staying here. We stayed for a whole week and got around the things I'm about to mention. It was fine but could be even better if some of these things are addressed. Finding the apartment was problematic. The Google and Booking.com map location has the building on the wrong side of the street. The photo we were sent to help locate the right apartment was old and out of date. We got there in the end with good help from Ana who was helping us via WhatsApp. We have posted updated photos to assist future visits. The shower tray is far to small and so the bathroom floor and towels get soaked. We were not provided with a bath mat either so had to use a hand towel. The outside balcony would be nice to sit on if it wasn't for the restaurant smoke stack that sends smoke and ash onto the nearby apartments. We realise this is something that cannot be fixed but mention it anyway. The kitchen needs extra equipment including, teaspoons, sharp cutting knife, bread knife, fish slice, colander, and bigger frying pan. We were only provided with one roll of toilet paper for an 8 night stay. It's the first time this has been the case in the last 8 weeks of being in Europe. Regardless of above things we would stay here again because of the location.
