Spaces lodge with a great view of Conwy castle. Great size rooms with large dining area and lounge area

Think it could do with updating. But still a lovely lodge.

Given key code but on arrival found no key in safe, waited a good hour for someone to come with a key. After a 6 bour journey - not what you want,

No dishwasher…only 4 wine glasses (there was 6 of us) beds very small. Curtains and tracking fell down

The good thing about the property was the location, the parking and the stunning views. The location was perfect as it was central to all the places we wanted to visit around North Wales. Good clean ovens and microwave. Kitchen, Living room and dining room space good. Good having a second toilet. Outside seating area view was spectacular. Good maps and literature about the local area. A lot of quirky and old decorative items around the home if you like looking at them. Hive heating system was easy to use and navigate.

Overall it was a basic clean passable place. But when you pay that price you expect cleanliness and you notice that more when it is outdated. A 70’s look is fine, but the curtains definitely need changing. Curtain cords difficult to use as some were stiff and also discoloured. Pull cords in toilet at the top full of thick dust stuck to old cobwebs. Under the sink in kitchen was untidy, a sponge with sponge crumbs! No cleaning cloth, luckily I had some packed. Shower door kept opening every 30 seconds and leaking water all over the floor and totally soaking the mat . When you open the old windows (those that did open) it was full of thick dust along the inside. Old is totally okay. But filthy is different. When you open the window n for fresh air, you don’t want to see so much dirt. Paint peeling in so many places. Definitely needs looking after. Mattress was too soft in one bedroom. I understand that’s a personal preference. No electrical socket on one side of double beds in both rooms for charging your phone. There was an extension wire which was not long enough especially if you need a socket on other side or for wire to reach other side. Freezer full of ice. Not cleaned out. I had to take the draw out to melt the ice and there was mould on one of the draw bottoms, which I washed and cleaned. I had to use lemon to descale the kettle to new as it was full of limescale. The porch ceiling and glass needs a good clean. Outside seating area with view has small Knick knacks that’s just clutter, not decorative, and was dusty and more dust in the corners again with old cobwebs layers with weeks of dust. Luckily we were out during the daytimes exploring and participating in activities. But in the evenings it would have been nice to sit outside that was clean.
